Club Advisors
There are 6 total Club Advisors as follows:
2 - Tournament Directors (TD) One for East and one for Metro
Organizes and executes all aspects of the Tournament including launch
decisions, weighin, and disputes. All TD decisions are final.
Assistant Tournament Director (ATD)
Performs the TD's duties when he is unable to attend a Tournament and
assists TD with check-in, livewell checks, and weighin during the
tournament.
Treasurer (Bean Counter)
Ensures the Membership fund and 7lb pot balance based on entry and
membership data throughout the season. Collects entries at the Ts and
prepares the payouts at the Ts. In the event of treasurer absence, the
ATD is responsible for the Treasurer's duties.
Advisory Team Memebers
Serve as backups to any officer position when needed for a Tournament.
Assists the TD, ATD, and Treasurer with key decisions and club
communication during the season.
TD, ATD and Treasurer are elected by Classic qualifiers at the classic
meeting. New volunteers must be classic qualified. If there are no new
volunteers, there is no need for a vote and the person holding the
position from the previous year will automatically be elected for the
following year.
Advisory team positions are lifetime positions appointed by the club's
first TD. If these positions are given up, replacements will be voted on
at the classic meeting. If there are no volunteers, the current Club
Advisors consisting of the TD, ATD, Treasurer and the 2 current Advisory
team members will appoint a replacement.
This gives a total of 5 individuals who work together to move the club
forward in the direction favorable to the majority of it's members
instead of having 1, 2 or even 3 people decide that direction. All 5
members work together to make key decisions and club communication
during the season. Examples for these decisions are initial
schedule/boat ramps/dates for the upcoming tournament year, exact
wording of rules, etc. This team works on behalf of the club members as
a whole.
