Welcome to TexasPoormans.com - Home of the Texas Poorman's Team Bass Trail!
We were formed in 2004 and are based out of the Dallas Texas area, but we have members as far as Shreveport, Temple and Fort Worth. EVERYONE is welcome!! Starting in 2009, we expanded and now have 2 trails - Metro and East. Membership for each is only $25 per year. 100% of all membership fees from each trail go into the "classic" fund for a combined end of the year Classic tournament!! Also, 100% of all entry fees are paid back at each tournament, meaning, there is no money kept, EVERYTHING is paid back to the fishermen at every single tournament!! That's pretty unique for a trail and makes for some better payouts. Each trail also has a running 7lb pot which grows form tournament to tournament until broken. There are no monthly meetings, no points, no angler of the year standings, etc. Essentially, it's the perfect combination of an open team circuit mixed with a club atmosphere. We do like to track stats and have yearly stats for teams and individuals as well as all-time stats for all members who qualify for the Classic. Anglers only need to fish a combined 5 tournaments in one division and/or Majors to qualify for the Classic. The Majors are simply tournaments that count towards classic qualification for both trails. The classic is great 2-day events with good fishing, great BBQ, great payouts and an all around good time. In '08 the winning team took home close to $3000 plus the coveted Poorman's Gold and Silver Belt buckles!!!! Other events that have defined the club since it's beginnings are the spring 2 day event and the Ironman Night T's in the Summer months. The 2 day tournament BBQs are becoming legendary and are second to none! If you're looking for a laid back but competitive trail that pays out 100% and likes to have FUN!!! you've found it!
